Problem
Restaurants often struggle with managing online orders, menu updates, and customer data in one place. Separate systems for ordering and admin work create inefficiency and poor user experience.
My role
I developed the complete full-stack application: public restaurant website, food ordering & cart system, secure authentication, and admin dashboard for managing menu items, orders, and users.
Outcome
A full-featured restaurant platform with a beautiful customer-facing website (menu, ordering, cart) and a powerful admin dashboard for managing menu, orders, users, and operations — all in one MERN-stack application.
How i solved it
Started by designing a modern and appetizing public interface with homepage, menu categories, and easy ordering flow.
Built the cart and checkout experience so customers can order food smoothly.
Implemented secure JWT authentication for both customers and admins.
Created a dedicated admin dashboard where restaurant owners can add/edit menu items, manage orders, and control users.
Focused on making both the customer experience and the admin tools clean, fast, and intuitive.

What worked
Clear separation between customer ordering experience and admin management tools made the platform useful for both sides. The modern food-focused UI helped attract users while the admin panel kept operations efficient.
What I'd Do Differently
Add real-time order status updates and online payment integration (Stripe) earlier in the development cycle.
