Problem

Finding blood donors quickly during emergencies is difficult. Existing systems lack clear role separation, real-time request management, and an easy way for donors, volunteers, and admins to collaborate in one place.

My role

I designed and developed the entire platform end-to-end: authentication system, role-based dashboards (Admin / Donor / Volunteer), blood request management, content management with rich text editor, and a responsive front-end focused on clarity and ease of use.

Outcome

A fully functional multi-role blood donation platform where donors can register and respond to requests, volunteers can manage content, and admins have complete control over users, requests, and blogs — all in a clean and user-friendly interface.

How i solved it

Started by defining clear user roles and the core user flows (register as a donor → search requests → respond/create request → admin moderation).

Built secure authentication with Firebase and role-based access so each user only sees what they need.

Designed a simple, calm interface that reduces stress during urgent blood requests.

Integrated a rich text editor (Jodit) for blog content and created dashboards that make request management fast and transparent.

What shipped

Blood Donation is a role-based platform with three distinct experiences:

• Admin – Full control over users, blood requests, and content (including publishing/deleting blogs)
• Donor – Register, search donation requests, and respond to help patients
• Volunteer – Manage content and support the community (without publish/delete rights)

The system prioritizes speed, clarity, and trust so that people can find or offer blood when it matters most.

What worked

Clear role separation made the platform easy to understand and safe to use. Focusing on a clean, low-stress UI helped users act quickly during urgent situations.

What I'd Do Differently

Add real-time notifications for new blood requests and location-based donor matching earlier in the development cycle.
